Talitropsis sedilloti adults have a body length of about 18mm and the female has a sabre-like ovipositor that's about 14mm long. Its long antennae can reach several times the body length. Adults are pale orange-brown and glossy in colour. Younger instars are darker in colour with a more prominent pale yellow diamond on the dorsal abdominal surface. Rows of prominent spines line each side of the hind tibiae for most of their length. Most other Tokoriro (Cave Weta) have either no spines are very fine spines.
