This gooey-stemmed fungus was formally known as Mycena austrororidus and was recently reclassified as Roridomyces austrororidus. It is also commonly known as the austro dripping bonnet fungus.
This relatively common species can be found growing in clusters, typically on decaying logs and branches, at the beginning of the season after heavy rain.
