Veronica evenosa, also known as Hebe evenosa and Tararua Hebe, is a rounded bushy shrub bearing pairs of shiny light green oval leaves with round-tipped leaf buds. The leaves are 12mm to 28mm long by 4mm to 9mm wide with very small hairs along the margins (lens needed). The leaf bud has no gap at the base. The flowers are white and appear during summer on crowded spikes that are up to about 4cm long.
